Best DTF transfers I've ever ordered! The colors pop on both dark and light shirts. Super fast shipping too — had my order in 2 days. SkyDTF is my go-to from now on.

Everything you need to know about DTF transfers, artwork, ordering, pressing, and shipping — all in one place.
Absolutely. DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers work great for brands, print shops, and small businesses alike. They let you print vibrant, full-color designs on demand — no screens, no minimums, and no need for expensive equipment. Whether you're fulfilling custom orders, building a product line, or offering a decoration service, DTF gives you flexibility and high-quality results at a competitive cost.
DTF wins when:
Screen printing is more cost-effective for large runs of simple, flat-color designs. HTV is good for simple cut shapes but struggles with complex artwork. Sublimation only works on polyester/light-colored fabrics. DTF fills the gap all three leave behind.
DTF transfers bond well to cotton, polyester, cotton-poly blends, nylon, denim, canvas, and even leather-like materials. They perform excellently on both light and dark fabrics. Avoid heavily textured or water-resistant surfaces that won't allow proper adhesion.
Yes — this is one of DTF's biggest strengths. You can order a single transfer or mix dozens of different designs on one gang sheet. No plate or screen costs mean small runs are just as economical per piece. Custom names, numbers, and personalization are easy with no added setup fees.
DTF excels with detailed artwork, full-color illustrations, photographic images, gradients, and designs with fine lines or small text. High-resolution vector or raster files at 300 DPI or higher with transparent backgrounds yield the sharpest, most vibrant results.
BestColor+ is our premium DTF printing process that uses enhanced ink profiles and color management software to produce a wider color gamut, deeper blacks, and more accurate tones than standard DTF. Think of it as the difference between a standard photo print and a professional fine-art print — same substrate, dramatically better color fidelity.
Choose BestColor+ when color accuracy is critical — such as branded merchandise requiring precise Pantone matches, portrait photography, highly detailed illustrations, or designs where vibrant saturation makes the whole product. For everyday custom prints, standard DTF is excellent; for artwork where color IS the product, BestColor+ is worth the upgrade.
Photorealistic images and portraits, gradients and soft transitions, neon or highly saturated brand colors, artwork with rich shadow detail, and designs requiring tight color consistency across a batch all benefit most from BestColor+.
Yes. BestColor+ pushes saturation further and handles smooth gradients more accurately than our standard process. Fine detail is also rendered with greater precision, making it ideal for complex, color-rich artwork.
Yes. BestColor+ transfers use the same application process as our standard transfers — same temperature, pressure, and peel method. No changes to your pressing workflow are required.
UV DTF (UV Direct-to-Film) is a printing technology that produces self-adhesive, crystal-clear sticker-like decals cured with UV light. Unlike traditional DTF transfers (which require heat pressing onto fabric), UV DTF stickers apply by hand to hard surfaces with no heat equipment needed.
UV DTF is perfect for drinkware (tumblers, mugs, cups), phone cases, laptop covers, water bottles, keychains, wooden plaques, glass, acrylic, ceramics, painted metal, and most smooth hard surfaces. It's a great way to expand your product line beyond garments.
Smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces provide the best adhesion: glass, stainless steel, powder-coated metal, hard plastic, acrylic, and sealed wood. Rough, highly textured, or flexible/soft surfaces (like silicone) may not adhere properly.
No. UV DTF stickers are applied by hand — simply peel, position, press firmly, and rub down with a squeegee or credit card. No heat press, no laminator, no special tools required.
Clean the surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. Peel the transfer, position it carefully, press from the center outward to eliminate bubbles, and rub firmly all over using a squeegee or card. Allow to set for a few minutes before handling.
UV DTF stickers are water-resistant and can handle regular use, but hand-washing is recommended for items like tumblers and mugs to maximize longevity. Repeated dishwasher cycles — especially with high heat and harsh detergents — can reduce adhesion and durability over time.
With proper care, UV DTF stickers can last 1–3 years on most hard surfaces. Outdoor or high-wear applications may see shorter lifespans. Hand-washing and avoiding prolonged UV sun exposure will extend the life of the print.
UV DTF stickers are designed for semi-permanent application. They can be removed — especially on smooth surfaces — by carefully peeling from an edge and using a little heat (like a hair dryer) or adhesive remover. Some residue may remain and may require additional cleaning.
PNG files with a transparent background at 300 DPI or higher are ideal. Vectors exported as high-resolution PNGs also work great. Avoid low-resolution JPEGs, screenshots, or files with white backgrounds unless white is intentional in your design.
Yes — for most designs, a transparent (PNG) background is essential so only your actual artwork is transferred onto the garment. A white background will print as a white rectangle around your design, which is usually not desired. The only exception is if white is actually part of your intended design.
No. Do not mirror your design. We handle all necessary mirroring on our end during the printing process. Send your artwork in its normal, readable orientation.
We do a basic review before production and will reach out if we spot obvious issues such as extremely low resolution or missing files. However, we are not able to catch every artwork problem, so it's best to double-check your files before uploading — especially resolution, transparency, and color mode (RGB is preferred).
We offer basic artwork assistance for simple fixes. For complex edits or designs that need to be created from scratch, we recommend working with a graphic designer. Reach out to our support team and we'll let you know what we can accommodate.
A gang sheet is a single large print sheet that holds multiple smaller designs laid out together. Instead of printing each design separately, you fill one sheet with as many designs as possible — maximizing the print area and reducing your cost per transfer. It's the most economical way to order DTF transfers.
Leave at least 0.25 inches (about 6mm) of space between designs on your gang sheet. This ensures clean cutting without accidentally trimming into neighboring designs and allows for slight variation during processing.
Yes! If you'd prefer not to build your own gang sheet, you can upload individual design files and we can arrange them for you. Just let us know your preferences for sizing and we'll optimize the layout to minimize waste.
A chest logo typically looks best between 3.5" and 4.5" wide. Placed on the left chest, 3.5" wide is the standard for a clean, professional look. Right-chest or center-chest logos follow the same guideline.
Full front/back designs for adult shirts generally range from 10" to 12" wide. For a standard adult tee, 11" wide is a popular go-to. Height will vary based on your artwork's aspect ratio — just make sure it fits within your sheet or standard size option.
Youth garments call for smaller prints. A full-front design for youth typically works best at 7"–9" wide, and chest logos should be around 2.5"–3.5" wide. Toddler and infant sizes go even smaller, around 4"–5" for a front print.
Oversized prints — popular in streetwear and bold graphic tees — can go up to 13"–14" wide on adult unisex shirts. Always verify against your specific garment's printable area before pressing to avoid wrapping onto seams.

No minimums. You can order a single transfer or a single gang sheet — we treat every order with the same care regardless of quantity. This makes us ideal for samples, one-offs, or small custom runs.
We do not send proofs by default, as this would slow down production. We print from your submitted file exactly as provided. If you have specific concerns about your artwork, please contact support before ordering and we can discuss options.
Yes. If you have an account, your previous order files may be accessible for reorder. Contact our support team with your order number and we'll do our best to pull up your file and get it reprinted quickly.
Yes. You can upload multiple files within a single order. If you're building a gang sheet, place them all on one file. If you're ordering different designs at different sizes, you can include multiple uploads in your cart before checkout.
Order changes are only possible if your order has not yet entered production. Contact us immediately after placing your order if you need to make changes. Due to our fast turnaround, we cannot guarantee modifications once an order is in the queue.
If your order has not started printing, we may be able to swap in a corrected file. Email support right away with your order number and the corrected file. If printing has already begun, we cannot reprint without a new order.
Cancellations are only possible before production begins. Once printing has started, we are unable to cancel, as the materials and press time are already committed. Please review your artwork carefully before completing checkout.
Pricing is based on the total print area — meaning the dimensions of your gang sheet or individual transfer. Larger sheets cost more; filling a sheet efficiently with multiple designs lowers your cost per design. Check our pricing calculator on the website for real-time quotes.
No setup fees. No plate fees. No artwork fees for standard orders. You pay for the print area and shipping — that's it. Optional rush production is available at an additional charge.
Absolutely. We encourage test orders, especially for new customers or new designs. Order a single sheet or small quantity to verify color, feel, and sizing before scaling up. There are no minimum commitments.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) as well as PayPal. Additional payment options may be available at checkout.
Yes. If your business qualifies for tax-exempt status, contact us with your exemption certificate and we can set up your account accordingly. This must be done before placing your order, as taxes cannot be refunded after checkout.
Standard production time is 1–3 business days. This is the time from order confirmation to when your package ships — not including transit time. High-volume periods may extend this slightly, but we work hard to ship on time.
Yes. Rush production (same-day or next-day) is available for an additional fee, subject to current production capacity. Select the rush option at checkout or contact us before ordering to confirm availability.
Yes. A tracking number will be emailed to you as soon as your order ships. You can use this to monitor your package in real time through the carrier's website.
Yes, local pickup is available. Check our website or contact support for the pickup address and hours of operation. Select the pickup option at checkout to skip shipping charges.
You'll receive an email or text notification when your order is ready for pickup. Please wait for this confirmation before heading over — orders may not be ready immediately after checkout.
Pickup orders follow the same production timeline as shipped orders (1–3 business days standard, or same/next day with rush). Rush pickup slots are limited — contact us to confirm availability.
If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit, contact our support team right away with your order number and photos (if damaged). We will work with the carrier to file a claim and get your order reprinted or refunded as quickly as possible.
Recommended settings:
Always do a test press on a scrap piece of fabric first when working with a new garment type.
Our standard transfers are warm peel — wait about 5–10 seconds after pressing before peeling. This gives the adhesive just enough time to bond without going completely cold. Peeling too hot can cause lifting; peeling fully cold can sometimes leave a stiffer feel.
Yes, we strongly recommend pre-pressing for 3–5 seconds before applying the transfer. This removes moisture and wrinkles from the garment, which helps the transfer adhere more evenly and prevents steam-related adhesion issues.
100% cotton, polyester, and cotton-poly blends all perform excellently. High-polyester content (above 65%) may require slightly lower temperatures to avoid dye migration. Avoid pressing on neoprene, silicone, or highly water-resistant materials.
Common causes:
Try increasing temperature slightly and pressure, and always pre-press.
Turn the garment inside out, wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, and tumble dry on low or hang dry. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners directly on the print, and high-heat dryer settings. These steps significantly extend the life of your transfer.
When pressed correctly and cared for properly, our transfers are designed to last 50+ wash cycles without significant fading, cracking, or peeling. Pressing at the correct settings is the single biggest factor in long-term durability.
Contact our support team as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable (for damaged or misprinted transfers). We stand behind our print quality and will make it right — whether that's a reprint, replacement, or refund, depending on the situation.
